The first book I couldn't put down. But as I went along it became less of an enjoyed adventure due to some writer choices. As another reviewer worded it " Unfortunately the writer is long winded, repetitive, disorganized and tries too hard to make it complicated. Sometimes writing herself in circles. It seemed like the writer was just trying to fill pages, as if she had a quota." and due some long winded sections the end seemed extremely rushed like the deadline was the same day. And it drove me crazy At the end how the main character was always "biting her lip" surely she could have some other ticks while thinking. ....Product details

Found it very difficult to put down! Will be looking forward to reading more of Thea Atkinson's books in the future!
Good world building and character development! Ending seemed a bit rushed.
Very interesting story. Characters were well developed and twists in plot left you guessing what would happen next. Unusual ending, wouldlike to know more about Elantium.
I'm half way through, and about to just give up. I've seen at least 2 places where it looks like editor notes were left in, the characters keep flip-flopping with no apparent reason, and there are too many story lines headed in different directions.
It was a good story but a hard read. Confusing at times trying to keep up with who wad connected to who
The books were confusing, the story line hard to follow and so unbelievable, even for fantasy. I'm a fast reader and it took me months to get through the books and I stopped reading the last one in the series because I really didn't care how it ended. It was a waste of my money
This is a long series. I liked the idea of the series. But the main character, just took abuse. She had all the power, and was used constantly. But never used her abilities to help herself. No one would take the treatment,and abuse she received and keep doing their bidding. Starving, and surviving all the torture should have lead the main character to more resentment, and more self perservation. Its just not realistic.
